Citipost Mail | Westminster City Council How our range of expert services saved Westminster City Council money on their direct mail campaign Share The Client: Context: Initially, Westminster City Council contacted us to enquire about how we could support them with their day-to-day communications, such as mail merge letters. They were spending vast amounts of admin time personalising, printing, packaging, and sending the letters daily and were looking for an alternative solution. We helped Westminster City Council solve their problem; we initially introducing them to our Digi-Mail product, which quickly saved their admin staff precious time and the council around 50% of the cost of their day-to-day mailings. After building a strong relationship, we were invited to tender for the print and postage of the Westminster City Council constituency magazines. The Approach: As experts in the mail and print field, at tender, we presented to the client a range of ways in which they could save money on their print and postage, including the optimisation of Royal Mail incentives and in-house incentives Citipost Mail could offer to them as a result of them using multiple products and services with us. We also conducted a free health check on their data to ensure their mailings were going to the correct place. After winning the tender, our print specialists collaborated with Westminster City Council to collate the print schedule; we customised this to ensure they had the flexibility they required for each publication. Flexibility was paramount for the client, and this has ensured throughout our relationship that the end magazine is always exactly how the client envisages it, with last-minute adjustments made as required. Our free data health check also identified that some of their data was no longer relevant, with some recipients moving house etc. The Result: Working with Westminster City Council since 2020, we now support them with their Digi-Mail, print and postage. Quarterly, we print and deliver 120,000 copies of the ‘Your Westminster’ magazine, 25,000 of the ‘Westminster Plus’ magazine and 20,000 copies of their ‘Your Home’ publication. Feedback on the quality of print has been fantastic from both our clients and the recipients of the magazine
