What does Royal Mail mean by testing something new? Using a mail campaign, customers can either perform tests they have not tried before or innovate the campaign in a way that seeks to improve the performance of the campaign Examples of innovative changes include: creating a seamless way to drive people online, such as including QR codes and digital image recognition for online shoppers; use of printing methods to engage a range of senses, such as taste or smell; using data sets, which can be used to hyper personalise marketing mail. Advertising Mail – Publishing Magazine Subscription Test – For when you want to try something new with your magazine advertising mail activity ADVERTISING MAIL TEST & INNOVATION – ALWAYS ON TEST INCENTIVE If you are looking to test something new with your mail campaigns, this incentive will let you earn retrospective credits while you get creative. Who is this for? For customers who want to test and innovate by using new strategies in their marketing mail. How do you qualify: Mail a minimum of 4000 items. Send a maximum of 100,000 items for standard tests*. Send a maximum of 1 million items for exceptional tests**. Time Period: A one-off campaign or a series of tests over a period of up to 6 months***. How much could you earn back on your marketing mail? Postage credits of up to 15%. For example, if you were to send 50,000 letters, through the Economy Advertising Mail 70 Mailmark service, you could receive 10% back as postal credits to use on future mail campaigns if you were testing with your existing mail streams. If you were to send 50,000 letters, through the Economy Advertising Mail 70 Mailmark service, you could receive 15% back as postal credits to use on future mail campaigns if you were sending a mail pack that had a radical overhaul and was deemed an exceptional test. Current rates apply until: 31st December 2024 ADVERTISING MAIL TEST & INNOVATION – REINSTATED MAILING TEST INCENTIVE If you are looking to reinstate a mailing campaign to help you reconnect with your customer or acquisition data, this incentive could be for you. Who is this for? For customers who want to reinstate a previous mail campaign. How do you qualify: Post a minimum of 4,000, and up to 1 million, items. (Generally, 200,000 eligible test items will be supported, by Royal Mail; however, up to 1 million items can qualify at Royal Mail’s discretion.) Eligible items must constitute of activity or a mail application that had been removed from a mailing plan and then reinstated Time Period: A one-off campaign or a series of tests over a period of up to 6 months***. How much could you earn back on your marketing mail? Postage credits of up to 15%. For example, if you were to send 50,000 letters, through the Economy Advertising Mail 70 Mailmark service, you could receive 15% back off the access price in the form of a postal credit that can be redeemed against future mailing campaigns. This limited-time TIS offer rewards you for trying something new when sending a new incremental Advertising Mail campaign. You could earn postage credits of up to 30%. Who is this for? For companies wanting to try something new with your magazine advertising mail activity. To Qualify: Test addressed Letters or Large Letter formats, sending a volume of at least 4,000 advertising mail items over the incentive period. Post up to a maximum of 1 million items+ over the incentive period. (+Large Volumes are accepted at Royal Mail’s discretion) Time Period: Applications are being accepted between the 9th of October 2023 to the 14th June 2024. The last posting date is the 28th June 2024. How much could you earn back on your marketing mail? Postage credits of up to 30%.
